In the field of high-voltage electrical engineering, every technological breakthrough carries the expectations of the era for energy interconnection. When the 640kV UHV DC cable comprehensive performance test platform was built and successfully commissioned in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, it stood behind a team with innovation at its core.

On October 18, 2024, Shenghua Electric participated in the High-Voltage Equipment Testing and On-Site Testing Technology Forum and Symposium on the Development of the Standard System of the High-Voltage Testing Standardization Committee. The conference focused on cutting-edge exchanges in high-voltage equipment testing technology and discussions on the development of industry standard systems, promoting technological progress and standardization in the high-voltage electrical field, as well as collaboration and knowledge sharing among upstream and downstream players in the industrial chain.

During the ideological exchanges at the "High-Voltage Equipment Testing and On-Site Testing Technology Forum", team members conducted in-depth discussions on the high-voltage testing standard system and on-site testing technology.

Following the commissioning of China's first long-term live-line comprehensive performance test platform for high-voltage DC cables in 2024, the "Guojiao-1" team of State Grid Zhoushan Power Supply Company once again advanced towards a higher technological goal. Its independently developed 640kV UHV DC cable test platform not only fills the gap in China's independent testing capability for DC cables of 640kV and below, but also builds a "technological foundation" to support the R&D of cables with higher voltage levels.

Among them, the team from Shenghua Electric successfully passed the comprehensive acceptance for the "SF6 Gas-Insulated Test Transformer" under the construction project. This equipment is responsible for providing high-voltage electric energy to the test platform, supporting the comprehensive performance testing of UHV DC cables. It works in collaboration with DC high-current generators and insulation support platforms to realize independent testing of DC cables of 640kV and below, providing key technical support for the R&D of cables with higher voltage levels and the development of offshore clean energy.

The platform stands on the test site in Zhoushan, with the team's countless days and nights of efforts embodied in its metal structures: from a thousand rounds of demonstration on the test plan to millimetric precision control in equipment installation, every detail demonstrates the commitment to "independent innovation". This breakthrough has enabled China to completely break free from external dependence in the core test field of high-voltage DC cables and injected "Chinese momentum" into technological iteration.
