Application
The Lightning Impulse Generator System can generate a wide range of voltage and energy waveforms simulating standard lightning impulse full waves, chopped lightning impulse waves, and switching impulse waves. It is used for various types of impulse tests on high-voltage electrical equipment. When combined with a steep wave attachment, the system can perform steep-front impulse tests on insulators (or insulator strings). The impulse voltage range is 200kV to 7200kV, with stage voltages configurable in steps of 100kV, 150kV, or 200kV.
